Coal Gasification Raw Materials Pre-Drying Technology

To pre-dry the moisture-contained raw material for coal gasification can dramatically improve the quality of the feed coal of coal gasification, reduce the requirement on coal quality for gasification, even high moisture lignite can become a high quality feed coal for gasification, which is of great significance for reducing the operation cost of coal gasification.

The core equipment of coal gasification feed coal pre-drying technology is the rotary steam tube dryer, which has the following characteristics: [1]the coal goes in the roller, steam goes in the tube, has an increased flow space for the coal, can effectively prevent the occurrence of the phenomenon of plugging coal; [2] high processing capacity of single equipment, can reduce the number of equipment, easy to control , operation and maintenance; [3] the indirect heating mode, heat transfer medium do not contact with coal, and through the advanced oxygen content detection and control technology, strictly prevent dust explosion in the drying process, makes the drying process safe, reliable; [4]do not have critical requirement on the feed coal’s size (no larger than 30 mm); [5] can be matched with the self owned power plant under the coal gasification plant, at the same time, all the condensate water is recovered, energy saving effect is remarkable.

Coal gasification feed coal pre-drying technology using conditions: [1] feed coal types: long-flame coal and lignite; [2] moisture content: long-flame coal 25 ~ 38%, lignite 33% ~ 55%; [3] processing capacity of single equipment: long-flame coal 150 t/h, lignite 120 t/h, [4 ]evaporation of water of single equipment: ≤30 t/h, [5] heat medium: saturated or superheated steam, pressure is 0.4 ~ 2.0 MPa.
